FAQs

What did you use?
-Photoshop CS2 w/ a Wacom Intuous 3 Tablet.

Why Photoshop?
-I've had bad issues with Painter, Photoshop has a lot more tools and can have a lot of the same custom brushes. Photoshop is not the ultimate best choice, but it works the best for what I want.

Whats with the moles?
-THEY'RE BIRTHMARKS AND FRECKLES.

I love how warm your colors always are, especially for the skin =3= <3
And the skin texture is a great idea. It even adds in little blemishes here and there (which I think are beautiful)

favouriting so I can find it later!.

confused though....theres a sudden jump from the colours being blocks of colour to then being blended....am I just thick? or did you say how to do this?

Haha sorry... it's hard to really explain other than explaining the brushes/opacity I used and going from dark to light.

I'd have to say this is probably one of the best explained tutorials I've come across, without making things complicated at all. The main thing I'm interested in is the backlighting, (I didn't even know it was called that... XD) as it's something I really lack at understanding myself, and it's one of the main things I love about your works. I figure the layer is laid over top the rest of the work, and then you apply the blending tool? No other tricks to get the desired effect?

Great work. I like the freckles too. Gives her more uniqueness. =D
